The Stage is Set

So, we need a location. I suggest a land where people think logic is like anti-matter. If anybody presents a logical course of action, that person is laughed at. Many people believe that if a person actually committs a logical action, that person will spontaneously explode in a flash of blue light and sound (which is suspiciously like the noise a person makes when they have a ban case of 'the vapors').

Thus, most of the inhabitants of this world never demonstrate simple common sense.
